This journey will take about 4 hours depending on the number of stops for photographs. After lunch and settling in at the lodge we will depart for a late afternoon scenic nature drive or an excursion to Sesriem Canyon. Dinner and accommodation will be at one of the best lodges in the area perfectly situated to explore the surrounding desert and its attractions.

After an early breakfast and coffee we will depart for a morning excursion to Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. We will stop at the scenic Dune 45 along the way and spend a couple of hours at both Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei. After lunch we will depart for Swakopmund via the Namib Naukluft National Park. We will spend the night at a Guesthouse and have dinner at one of the top restaurants in Swakopmund. Please note that dinner tonight is not included and for your own account.

Dolphin & Seal cruise, Cape Cross Seal Reserve and the Skeleton Coast

DAY 3: Dolphin & Seal cruise, Cape Cross Seal Reserve and the Skeleton Coast

We will start today with an early morning seal and dolphin cruise on a catamaran in the Walvis Bay lagoon. We will visit the oyster farm, the shipwreck and lighthouse at Pelican Point as well as the seal colony. Wildlife we might encounter includes Cape Fur Seal, Humpback and Southern-right Whales, Bottlenose and Heaviside Dolphins, Leatherback Turtles and Sun Fish to name a few. The birdlife on the lagoon is brilliant and there are always great photographic opportunities especially for pelicans, gulls and cormorants. There is a toilet on-board and refreshments include fresh oysters and champagne.

Then we continue our safari northwards along the Skeleton Coast. After visiting a shipwreck and the massive Cape Fur Seal colony at Cape Cross Seal Reserve we will turn inland towards Damaraland. We will drive past the Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain with the highest peak at 2573 meters. We will be at our lodge in time for a sun-downer drink while we enjoy the view over this beautiful landscape

DAY 4: Damaraland

We have the whole day dedicated to explore this unique area that is considered by most to be the most scenic and dramatic landscape in Namibia. We will do a game drive to try and find the famous desert adapted elephants that manage to survive in this hostile environment. The majestic giants move up and down the dry riverbeds in search of food and water. It is a really humbling experience for those lucky enough to see them.

Damaraland is famous for its geological rock formations and we will visit the burnt mountain, organ pipes and petrified forest where we will also find the Namib's living fossil plant, the Welwitschia mirabilis. We will visit Twyfelfontein where you find thousands of rock engravings and is Namibia's only world heritage site. We will stay in the same lodge as last night and will enjoy a good night's rest after the busy day.

Etosha National Park

DAY 5-7: Etosha National Park

After breakfast we will depart for Etosha National Park where will spend the next 3 nights. Etosha is one of Africa's biggest and best National Parks and one of the main tourist attractions in Namibia.

One of the highlights of the park is flood-lit waterholes at the 3 main camps where game viewing continues long after the sun has set. We will do morning and afternoon games drives and relax at the pool or camp waterhole between drives.

The Okavango River

DAY 8: The Okavango River

After breakfast we will depart for the Caprivi, one of Namibia's hidden secrets. The Caprivi with its lush green woodland and big rivers are completely different to what we experienced in Etosha. After arriving and settling in at our lodge which is situated on the banks of the mighty Okavango River, we can either relax or do a late afternoon game drive in Mahango National Park or a sun-downer boat cruise. We will enjoy a good night's rest after the day's journey while listening to the sound of hippos.

Bwabwata and Mahango National Parks

DAY 9: Bwabwata and Mahango National Parks

After breakfast we will do a mixture of game drives in Mahango and Bwabwata National Parks and a boat cruise on the Okavango River if we didn't do one the previous afternoon. Both these parks are well known for their big buffalo herds and plenty of hippos. Other game that we might see includes elephant, lion, leopard, wild dog, impala, kudu, lechwe, giraffe, warthog, sable, roan, zebra, reedbuck and bushbuck. Between game drives we will have lunch and relax at our lodge while enjoying the beautiful view of the Okavango River. Other additional activities that could be arranged include a mokoro trip or trying your hand at catching the legendary tiger fish.

The Okavango Panhandle and Maun

DAY 10: The Okavango Panhandle and Maun

After a short game drive through Mahango National Park we will cross the border into Botswana and make our way down the Okavango Panhandle towards Maun. After lunch and settling into our lodge we can do an afternoon boat cruise if time permits. Maun, which situated at the southern end of the Delta is the perfect base from which to explore one of Botswana's most famous game reserves, Moremi. The Okavango Panhandle is the name given to the 90 km stretch of river from where it turns south, cuts across the Caprivi, flows southwards through Botswana until it fans out into the hundreds of channels that make up the Okavango Delta.

The Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve

DAY 11: The Okavango Delta and Moremi Game Reserve

Today will be dedicated to explore Moremi Game Reserve and the Okavango Delta. Although this amazing wildlife area requires days of exploring we will try and see and experience as much as possible. We will do a mixture of activities from game drives, boat cruises and mokoro trips depending on your interest. The Delta is one of the best wildlife areas on the planet.

Another brilliant optional activity is a scenic flight over the Delta which can be arranged but is not included in the price.

The Makgadikgadi Pans and Nata

Day 12: The Makgadikgadi Pans and Nata

Today will start with an early breakfast and departure as we continue our safari in an easterly direction. We will drive across the Makgadikgadi Pans keeping an eye out for wildlife along the way. Depending on the vehicle, time of the year and your interests, we will drive into Nxai Pan National Park to see the famous Baines Baobabs. At certain times of the year it will be worth extending our stay here and do a game drive. We will stay at a lodge in or near Nata in Eastern Botswana and if the pans are full of water we will visit the Nata Bird Sanctuary which is an unforgettable sight if all the birds are present.

Chobe National Park

DAY 13: Chobe National Park

After breakfast we will turn north and make our way to Kasane which will be our base for the next two nights. Kasane is a small town bordering Chobe National Park and is the perfect base from which to explore this park. It is not uncommon to have wildlife walking right through the middle of town. After lunch and settling into our lodge we will do an afternoon game drive in Chobe National Park or just enjoy a sun-downer drink while enjoying the beautiful view over the Chobe River.

Chobe National Park

DAY 14: Chobe National Park

This whole day will be dedicated to explore Chobe National Park. We will do a game drive and a boat cruise and the time of the year will determine which one we do first. Chobe has the highest concentration of elephants in the world as well as one of the highest wildlife concentrations on earth. Besides all the elephants we will also try and find buffalo, sable, wild dog, puku (southernmost limit of its range), lechwe, lion, leopard, hippo, crocodile, bushbuck, waterbuck, giraffe and huge zebra herds. Elephants crossing, playing or swimming in the Chobe River is a sight you will never forget. We will again stay in the same lodge overlooking the Chobe River.

Victoria Falls

DAY 15: Victoria Falls

After breakfast we will cross the border into Zimbabwe which will be our third and last country that we visit on this safari. It is a short drive of about 70 km and we will continue to keep an eye open for wildlife along the way. After arriving in Victoria Falls town we will continue straight to the falls which is also known as 'Mosi-oa-Tunya' - The Smoke that Thunders. It is one of the most beautiful and most majestic waterfalls in the world and it is not difficult to see why the Victoria Falls are one of the 7 natural wonders of the world.

After lunch and settling into our lodge we will have the afternoon open for any of the following additional activities which is not included in the price: Helicopter flights over the falls and the game park (this is a brilliant experience and can be highly recommended), bungee jumping, walking with lions, elephant back safari and sun-downer boat cruise on the Zambezi River. We will also visit the local open air curio market on our way to the airport. Please note that dinner tonight is for your own account. Our lodge will be situated in Victoria Falls town itself.

DAY 16: Departure

After a relaxing breakfast you will fly out of Victoria Falls International Airport or we will continue our safari onto the rest of Botswana, Zimbabwe or Zambia.

Please note that if your time and budget allows we can always extend our stay at various points during the safari to further maximize your experience. An example of this would be to add an additional night at Moremi Game Reserve which will enable us to explore deeper into this incredible wildlife area.
